Washington Authorities Track Where DUI Suspects Drink

When Washington drivers are arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, where are they coming from? Over the last few years, Washington authorities have started to compile a database of venues where suspected DUI offenders were drinking just before they were pulled over by law enforcement.

As seattlepi.com reports, the state Liquor and Cannabis Board has been compiling this data of destinations DUI suspects say they last were before being arrested since 2012. This information is volunteered by drivers, recorded by local law enforcement departments, and then collected by the state police.

Here are some of the most common DUI suspect destinations (2012-2015):

  • O'Finnigan's Pub in Everett (68 DUI stops)
  • Tulalip Resort Casino (62 DUI stops)
  • Juanita Pub in Kirkland (67 DUI stops)
  • Danny's Midway Pub and Grill in Smokey Point (62 DUI stops)
  • Safeco Field in Seattle (66 DUI stops)
  • Snoqualmie Casino (80 DUI stops)
  • The Parlor in Bellevue (62 DUI stops)
