When Washington drivers are arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, where are they coming from? Over the last few years, Washington authorities have started to compile a database of venues where suspected DUI offenders were drinking just before they were pulled over by law enforcement.
As seattlepi.com reports, the state Liquor and Cannabis Board has been compiling this data of destinations DUI suspects say they last were before being arrested since 2012. This information is volunteered by drivers, recorded by local law enforcement departments, and then collected by the state police.
Here are some of the most common DUI suspect destinations (2012-2015):
- O'Finnigan's Pub in Everett (68 DUI stops)
- Tulalip Resort Casino (62 DUI stops)
- Juanita Pub in Kirkland (67 DUI stops)
- Danny's Midway Pub and Grill in Smokey Point (62 DUI stops)
- Safeco Field in Seattle (66 DUI stops)
- Snoqualmie Casino (80 DUI stops)
- The Parlor in Bellevue (62 DUI stops)
Innocent Until Proven Guilty
Remember: even if your blood alcohol concentration test is over the limit, you are not yet guilty of driving under the influence-- you are only suspected. Acquittals, reductions, and dismissals are still possible, but only if your case is reviewed by a proven Snohomish County DUI defense lawyer who knows our state's DUI laws and procedures.
At the Law Office of Mark W. Garka, PLLC, I have dedicated my firm to protecting the rights and interests of citizens who find themselves accused of these offenses. I am a former prosecutor who has an intimate understanding of how our state pursues DUI convictions and what my clients need to put their charges behind them as swiftly as possible.
I make myself available 24/7 for my clients. Contact my firm today to request a free case evaluation.
