Immigration Issues and Risks After a DUI/DWI in WA State
If you are convicted of driving without a license (driving on a suspended license) after you have lost it due to an alcohol offense (DUI) in Washington State, it will be considered a "crime of moral turpitude" and you may be deported. Any such criminal charge can impact your immigration status and your right to be in this county.
Do not drive until you have your license is returned to you. You are under revocation/suspension until that point.
If you are convicted of an alcohol offense (DUI, drunk driving) and sentenced to 365 days or more, it is considered a crime of violence and you may be deported. This includes any suspended sentence.
Consult with me on your rights before agreeing to plead guilty. Protect your rights and freedom to stay in this country!
Mark, your kindness and promptness are greatly appreciated. My family thanks you for your assistance during our difficult time.
